City statute

CITY RULES

These rules apply to every citizen, everywhere in Earned — contracts, streets, markets, casino, courts, crews, forums and mail. Breaking them is a breach of the Terms of Use and can cost you progress, funds or your account.

1. One person, one account

  • Each person may hold one account. Multi-accounting, alt farming and shared households on the same systems will be reviewed.
  • Do not create, buy, sell, rent, gift or transfer accounts, or log into an account that is not yours.
  • Do not feed cash, items, ventures, crew funds or wins between accounts you control. Automated checks flag linked sessions for staff review.
  • Do not evade a suspension by creating a new account.

2. Fair play

  • No bots, macros, scripts, auto-clickers, modified clients, packet manipulation or third-party automation of any kind.
  • No exploiting bugs. If you find one, report it through Support instead of using it. Gains from exploits are removed.
  • No market manipulation, wash trading, price fixing rings, or rigging courts, votes, jury outcomes or standings.
  • No real-money trading of in-game cash, credits, items, ventures or accounts outside official purchases.
  • Interfering with the service — scraping, stress testing, denial of service, probing security — is prohibited.

3. Respect other citizens

  • No hate speech or slurs targeting race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, sex, gender identity or sexual orientation.
  • No harassment, stalking, pile-ons, threats of violence, or sexual harassment — in mail, forums, crew chat or profiles.
  • No sexual content involving minors, no content sexualising real people without consent, and no glorification of real-world violence, terrorism or self-harm.
  • No doxxing. Never post anyone's real name, address, workplace, phone number, photographs or accounts — including your own.
  • No impersonating staff, moderators, other players or Earned itself.

4. In character versus out of character

Earned is a crime simulation: robbing, attacking, betraying and jailing other characters is part of the game and is not a rule breach. Attacking the person behind the character is. Rivalry stays inside the fiction; abuse, threats and harassment are treated as real conduct regardless of roleplay framing.

5. Names, profiles and content you post

  • Handles, crew names, bios, venture names and forum posts must not contain slurs, sexual content, personal data, advertising or staff-impersonating names.
  • Do not advertise other services, sell goods, recruit off-platform or post referral or affiliate links.
  • Do not post spam, chain messages, mass unsolicited mail or repeated duplicate threads.
  • You are responsible for everything posted from your account.

6. Trading, crews and the economy

  • Honour deals you make. Scamming other players out of items or cash through impersonation or fake staff claims is a breach; in-game betrayal mechanics offered by the game are not.
  • Crew leaders are responsible for their vault, ranks and recruitment conduct. Crews used to organise rule-breaking may be disbanded.
  • Chargebacks, reversals and payment fraud may result in removal of the related credits, benefits or items and restriction of the account.

7. Security

  • Keep your password private. Staff will never ask for your password or payment details.
  • Report phishing, account compromise or suspected cheating through Support.

8. Enforcement

Depending on severity and history we may issue a warning, remove content, roll back gains, restrict features, mute, suspend or permanently close an account, and remove associated crews, ventures or listings. Serious cases — threats, illegal content, fraud — can lead to immediate permanent closure and, where required, referral to the authorities.

You may ask for a review of any action through Support. Decisions made in good faith to protect players and the integrity of the game are final. These rules sit alongside our Terms of Use and Acceptable Use Policy, and may be updated as the game develops.
